CHANGING LEVELS: FROM FAITH TO FAITH

Topic Scriptures: Romans 1: 16 – 17, NKJV; Psalm 84: 5 – 7, NLT, v7 in NKJV; 2 Corinthians 3: 17 – 18, NKJV

For the past couple of weeks, we have been studying up on the topic of “Changing Levels”. We’ve learned that changing levels refers to moving from a certain place or position in your life to a higher or better place or position.

We’ve also learned that as children of God, God wants to change our level; the Bible is full of accounts of people who encountered God and it resulted in a change of their levels in life.

That is why if we notice in any critical area of our lives—spiritual, material, marital, academic, and so on—that things have stagnated and we are stuck in these areas of our lives, we don’t have to accept it. We need to rise like Jabez and seek God earnestly for a change in levels, and God will answer (1 Chronicles 4: 9 – 10).

Now, for a change in levels to occur in your life, three main transitions must take place. We need to move from faith to faith, from strength to strength, and from glory to glory.

Last week, we looked at what it means to move from faith to faith. Today, we’re going to discover what it means to move from strength to strength and from glory to glory.

Psalms 84: 5 – 7 NKJV. This scripture describes the journey of the people of God to Zion, the holy place where the Presence of God is. On this journey, our objective must be to become more like Jesus and love Him more, but there must also be a desire to experience the blessings Jesus has prepared for us. Beloved, there is a life of blessing and well-being that Jesus has made available to us (John 10:10, NLT). We must not waste these blessings and benefits- benefits like salvation, eternal life, prosperity, good health, divine protection, wisdom, peace, joy, restoration, and so on.

These are blessings meant for us while we are on this earth, and not only when we get to Heaven. Mark 10:28. But this will only happen when we move from faith to faith from strength to strength and from glory to glory!

FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH (Psalm 84: 5 – 7)

In the Amplified Version of the Bible, Psalm 84: 5 – 7 explains to us that the man whose strength is in God is happy, fortunate, and to be envied. This is key to a change of levels. The key point to note here is that this person’s strength is solely in the Lord. Our strength is not in ourselves, our pastors, our parents, our political parties, or the promises people make, which are so often unreliable. That is why the Bible tells us to be “… strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10)

So let’s take Psalm 84:5 – 7 and examine it verse by verse.

The word “strength” that you see in verse 5 is translated from the Hebrew word “Owz”. It relates to all kinds of might, be it physical, personal, material, social strength, or political strength. When the Lord is your strength, it will reflect in all these different areas of your life.

When the Lord is your strength, you can trust Him for healing! You can trust Him for material strength and prosperity! When the Lord is your strength, you can trust Him for strength even in your family! Those problems that have plagued your family for so long are ending with you, in Jesus’ Name! Because of you, a new story is about to be written in your family. Believe it and receive it!

The word “Blessed” there also means “Happy” and “fortunate and favoured” or “envied”. You are only happy when things are going well with you, and to be fortunate or favoured means to receive good that comes from all kinds of sources in your life. Therefore, this scripture tells you that as you make the Lord your strength, good things will start locating you by favour to such an extent that people will start to envy you in Jesus’ Name!

When the same scripture talks about those “…in whose hearts are the pathways of Zion”, it refers to your heart being after God, because Zion is where the Presence of God is. It means longing for God, craving for Him, and seeking Him always.

Verse 6 goes on to say that when these people are “…passing through a Valley of weeping, they make it a place of springs.” When is it that people weep? It is when things are not going well. It’s when we experience terrible losses. This is the Valley of Weeping.

But they that make the Lord their strength, make the Valley of Weeping a place of springs! Springs of hope and springs of joy. I declare to you today that in every place where you wept, and your heart was broken, something very remarkable is going to happen. In that very place, God is going to turn your mourning into dancing! There will be springs of joy in your life in the mighty Name of Jesus. That is why the same verse also says “…the heavy rain also fills the pools with blessing.” Get ready for showers of blessing that will bring abundance, interest, and wellbeing to you!

Verse 7: “…they go from strength to strength.” When you make the Lord your strength, He lifts you from strength to strength. In other words, you will increase in victorious power!

I prophesy that a season of your life has come when God is going to empower you in a great way to experience a chain of victories in your life! That means from victory, unto victory, unto victory! Hallelujah!

FROM GLORY TO GLORY (2 Corinthians 3:17)

As we look to Jesus, as we depend on Him, as we rely on Him, as we focus on Him, He is going to give us freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17 tells us that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberating power. The power that will liberate you from anything and everything that holds you down, that limits and restrains you. And when that happens, you will be free to experience the glory of the Lord in your life.

Because for your level to change, the final thing you will see in your life is that you’ll move from glory to glory.

Glory means beauty. Glory means majesty. It means splendor and excellence. And the scripture tells us that as we all behold the glory of Jesus with unveiled faces and gaze earnestly into the mirror—which refers to the Word of God— we will see more of that glory manifest in our lives.

Beloved, if we want to see the glory of Jesus, we have to focus on His Word. That is why, as a church, we emphasize the importance of the Word of God. The Word reveals the glory of Jesus. And the more we look into that mirror, the more we are transformed into His image, moving from glory to glory to glory to glory!

Your life will be more glorious than ever before. Everything associated with you will sparkle like never before as the glory of the Lord comes upon you. Arise and shine, for your light as come! I declare to you today that the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1)!

Hallelujah!
